The Carbolic Smoke Ball Case, as a Children's Storybook

Text size

Fun Friday experiment: Mrs. Carlill and the Carbolic Smoke Ball adventure of 1893 (Storybook edition)

Google Gemini recently came out with the Storybook feature and i decided to see what would happen if I asked Gemini to transform Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Company into an actual storybook.

And what you see below is the result. Obviously it's not perfect, but still very cool.

A new way to put your kids to sleep at night (or get them prepped for law school early?)

The prompt I used was super simple too: "Can you please create a story book about the Carlill v Carbolic Smoke Ball Company case? I'm a law student and i want to learn about the key ratios from this case. Also, please create the illustration in the style of Al Hirschfeld, the New Yorker cartoonist."

This got me thinking how many other complex academic concepts could we make more accessible this way, and what the future of education will look like with extremely personalized learning content delivered in the format that enables you to the learn the best.

Anyone else experimenting with creative ways to explain complex topics? I'd love to hear what you're discovering!
